Your American Gun Trader account is your home for buying, selling, and chatting with other gun owners. Here is the quick tour.

  1. Browse and post firearm listings
  2. Send and receive private messages
  3. Place bids on auctions
  4. Manage your profile and settings

What you can do

As a member you can list firearms and accessories for sale, place bids on auctions, chat directly with other members, and join community groups. Most of the platform is free — there are optional boosts and a vendor subscription for licensed dealers.

Finding your way around

The top menu has links to your Dashboard, My Posts, Messages, Bids, and Settings. Most pages also show a small Help button in the corner that opens the matching guide in this Help Center.

Signing in

You can sign in with email and password, with Google, or by adding a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID, or your device PIN) under Settings → Passkeys — a faster, phishing-resistant option you can use alongside your existing sign-in method.

Next steps

Two things make a big difference right away:

  • Complete your profile. A real name, photo, and short bio earn faster replies.
  • Verify your email and phone. Without verification you cannot post listings or message other members.

Common questions

Is American Gun Trader free to use?
Yes. Browsing, posting, messaging, and bidding are free. We offer paid boosts and an optional vendor subscription, but the core marketplace is free.
Do I need to be an FFL holder to sell here?
No. Both private sellers and federally licensed dealers (FFLs) can post listings. The transfer itself must still follow federal and your state's law.
