Group Chats

Use group conversations to chat with members of a group you have joined.

Group chats happen inside a Community Group. They are great for local trades, range meetups, and gear discussions.

Quick steps

  1. Join a group (or create one)
  2. Open the group from Messages โ†’ Groups
  3. Post a message โ€” everyone in the group sees it

Joining a group first

You have to be a member of a group before you can chat in it. See Joining a Group.

Posting in a group chat

Open the group from your Messages โ†’ Groups tab. The chat works like any other conversation โ€” type, send, attach photos. The difference is everyone in the group sees it.

Etiquette

  • Stay on-topic for the group's purpose.
  • Keep listings to one post โ€” do not spam the chat with the same item.
  • Follow the group's rules. Moderators can remove off-topic posts or members.

Muting a busy group

If a group is too active, open it and choose Mute from the menu. You stay a member but stop getting notifications for new messages.
