Joining a Group

Find a local or interest-based group and join it in two clicks.

Groups are how members organize by location, interest, or hobby. Joining one takes two clicks.

Quick steps

  1. Open the Community page
  2. Find a group that fits
  3. Click Join

Finding a group

Open Community from the main menu. Browse local groups in your state, or use the search box to find groups around a topic — "AR-15 builders", "competitive shooting", "collectors".

Browse local groups by state or search by topic on the Community page.

Public groups vs approval-required

Most groups are public — click Join and you are in. A few require a moderator to approve your request. If approval is needed, you will see a "Pending" status until they accept.

Creating your own group

If no group fits, you can create one. Click Create Group on the Community page, give it a name and description, and pick whether it is local or interest-based.

Leaving a group

Open the group, click the menu, and choose Leave Group. You stop getting notifications and can no longer post in it.
