Message Notifications

Choose how we tell you about new messages: email, push, or both.

Pick how loud (or quiet) we should be about new messages: email, phone push, both, or neither.

Quick steps

  1. Open Settings → Notifications
  2. Find the Messages section
  3. Toggle Email and Push to taste
  4. Save

Email vs Push

  • Email works everywhere and creates a paper trail in your inbox.
  • Push is faster but only works if you installed the mobile app.
  • Both is great if you sell often — push for speed, email as backup.
  • Neither means you only see messages by opening the site.

Muting one conversation

To silence one chatty conversation without changing your global preferences, open it and choose Mute from the menu.

Settings → Notifications with the Messages toggles ringed to show email and push controls
Toggle Messages email and push independently on Settings → Notifications.

Getting too many emails?

The biggest senders are usually message alerts. Toggle Email off for Messages and keep Push on — you still hear about every new message, just not in your inbox.

Critical alerts

Even with everything off, you will still get bid wins, password resets, and security alerts.

Common questions

Can I get only email and never push?
Yes. Toggle push off in Settings → Notifications; emails will continue.
