Editing a Listing

Update the title, price, description, or photos on a listing you already posted.

You can change almost anything on a listing after it goes live — title, price, photos, description.

Quick steps

  1. Open My Posts
  2. Find the listing and click Edit
  3. Change what you need to change
  4. Save

What you can edit

  • Title, description, and price
  • Category, caliber, manufacturer, condition
  • Photos (add, remove, reorder)
  • Whether the listing is local-pickup or ships

Step-by-step

Open My Posts, find your listing, and click the Edit button. The wizard opens with all your current values pre-filled. Change what you need and save.

Each listing card in My Posts has an Edit, Boost, and Mark Sold menu.

What edits do not do

Edits update the listing in place. They do not re-notify members who have already messaged you, and they do not reset the listing's age on the home feed.

Bids and edits

If your listing has active bids, you cannot change the price or auction end time. Cancel the auction (or wait for it to end) before re-pricing.

Common questions

Do edits notify people who already messaged me?
No. Edits update the listing in place; existing conversations are unchanged.
