Boosting a Listing

Use a duration-based search placement to help more buyers find your listing.

A boost is a duration-based advertising placement that pushes your listing higher in search. Newsletter features are a separate product.

Quick steps

  1. Open the listing
  2. Click Boost
  3. Choose a boost type and pay (or use free credits)
  4. Your listing goes to the top instantly

Types of boost

  • Top of search: choose 1, 7, or 14 days. Your listing appears higher in category and home results during the selected window.
  • Newsletter feature: a separate product that places your listing in the next scheduled email newsletter.

What it costs

Current prices are shown on the boost screen before you commit: $4.99 for 1 day, $14.99 for 7 days, or $22.99 for 14 days. These are one-time charges for the selected advertising duration, not recurring subscriptions. New members and active sellers often have free boost credits — check your dashboard for a yellow credit banner.

When boosting helps most

  • The first 48 hours after posting (most clicks happen here)
  • High-demand items where you want a fast sale
  • Listings that have stalled but you do not want to drop the price

Common questions

How long does a boost last?
Boosts are duration-based advertising placements: $4.99 for 1 day, $14.99 for 7 days, $22.99 for 14 days. Newsletter feature placements are separate and run with the next scheduled send.
Does boosting or a premium listing verify the seller?
No. Boost and premium placement are paid advertising upgrades that increase a listing's visibility in search results and the newsletter — they do not verify the seller's identity, legitimacy, or the item's legality. Only the "Verified FFL" badge reflects an approved federal firearms license, and even that does not vouch for an individual transaction.
