Choose how often you hear from each group you have joined.

Each group can be loud, quiet, or muted โ€” independent of the rest of your account.

  1. Open the group
  2. Click the bell or menu
  3. Choose All, Mentions Only, or Mute

Three notification levels

  • All: every new post and reply pings you.
  • Mentions only: you only hear about it if someone @mentions you.
  • Mute: total silence; you stay a member but no notifications at all.

How to change it

Open the group, click the notification icon (bell) or the menu, and pick your level. Changes apply immediately.

Default for new groups

When you join a group, the default is "Mentions only". You can change it any time.

Still too much?

If muting one group isn't enough, you can turn off all group notifications platform-wide from Settings โ†’ Notifications.

Can I mute a group without leaving it?
Yes. Open the group, click Notifications, and choose Mute.
