Weatherby Mark V Deluxe .300 Wby Mag – Japanese Howa Mfg – Nikon 3-9x40
Technical Specifications
Seller's Description
This rifle features the quintessential "Weatherby Look" with a high-grade, high-gloss walnut stock, fine canopy checkering, a rosewood forend tip, and a rosewood pistol grip cap accented by the signature maplewood diamond inlay.
Condition Details:
* Stock: Immaculate condition. The high-gloss polyurethane finish is incredibly clean, bright, and free of the typical crazing, major dings, or safe rashes often found on rifles of this vintage.
* Metal & Bluing: The deep gloss bluing on the receiver and barrel is in excellent shape. The floorplate and trigger guard show zero carry wear. There is only a minor, typical hint of bluing wear at the very tip of the muzzle from normal handling.
* Bore: Bright, sharp, and clean with excellent rifling.
* Optics: Comes mounted with a crisp Nikon Buckmaster variable-power scope on solid mounts, ready for the range or the field.
This is a phenomenal, investment-grade example of a late-80s Japanese Mark V Deluxe in Weatherby's flagship caliber.

Buyer FAQ
Is this listing legitimate?
Listings on American Gun Trader are posted by individual sellers and are required to comply with federal, state, and local firearm laws. This listing was submitted by @chrishorton1965; review their profile rating and active listing history before transacting.
How do I buy this firearm legally?
For a typical private sale between residents of different states, arrange transfer through an FFL in the buyer's state of residence. In-state private transfers follow applicable state law. Use the message button on this listing to coordinate transfer details with the seller.
Does the seller ship this listing?
Shipping is not specified for this listing. Check the seller’s description for shipping terms or message the seller to confirm — many sellers ship to your receiving FFL dealer. Otherwise plan to meet in person at an agreed transfer location.
What about returns?
No return policy is specified for this listing. Treat it as a final sale — inspect the firearm and confirm condition and serial number with the seller before paying.
How do I pay the seller?
Same state: meet in person when that state allows it; if the state requires a dealer, tap FFLs and meet at that shop. Different states: the buyer proposes a receiving FFL in their state; both parties agree and call the dealer. Share contact exchanges details so you can arrange payment directly/offline. AGT does not handle or protect payment for the firearm sale. Ask the dealer about fees.
Does a "Boosted" or "Premium" tag mean the seller is verified?
No. Boost and premium placement are paid advertising upgrades that push a listing higher in search results and the newsletter — they do not verify the seller's identity, legitimacy, or the item's legality. Only the green "Verified FFL" badge reflects an approved federal firearms license, and even that does not vet the individual transaction. Always verify who you are dealing with independently.
