- Filter by firearm type: Use the category filter to zero in on pistols, rifles, or shotguns specifically.
- Compare by caliber: Different models chamber different rounds — filtering by caliber lets you match the firearm to your existing ammo stock.
- Prioritize local sellers: Private-party intrastate sales can skip the FFL transfer fee. Filter by your state to find nearby sellers first.
- Check condition grading: Every listing is graded New, Like New, Used, or Damaged. Factor condition into your price comparison before reaching out.

How do you buy 3rd Gen Tactical safely on a gun classifieds site? American Gun Trader lists 6 active listings for 3rd Gen Tactical from verified private sellers and FFL dealers nationwide. Each ad shows photos, asking price, condition, caliber where applicable, and seller location so you can compare options before messaging. Messaging runs through moderated chat — not public comment threads — which reduces scam contact info and keeps negotiations on-platform. Filter this 3rd Gen Tactical page by state, manufacturer, caliber, price, and condition, then message the seller to confirm availability and transfer details. For a typical private sale between residents of different states, arrange transfer through an FFL in the buyer's state of residence. Some in-state sales also require a dealer under state law; our how-to-buy guide explains the process. Listing is free with zero commission on private sales, so inventory turns over quickly as sellers add and remove guns.
