Deleting Your Account

How to close your account, what happens to your data, and what you cannot undo.

You can close your account at any time. Deletion is permanent — please read this carefully before you do it.

Quick steps

  1. Open Settings → Basic
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Confirm by typing your username
Deletion is permanent. Once you confirm, your account cannot be recovered.

What happens when you delete

  • Active listings are removed immediately.
  • Conversations and bids are anonymized.
  • Past sold listings are kept but anonymized (no buyer/seller name).
  • Within 30 days, all personal data is permanently removed from our active systems.
  • Some data may remain in backups for up to 90 days, then is purged.

What you cannot undo

Once you confirm, you cannot recover your account, your past purchases, your referral credit, your message history, or your subscription. Cancel any active subscription first.

Settings → Basic with the Delete Account button in the Danger Zone at the bottom of the page ringed to show where to tap
Scroll to the bottom of Settings → Basic and tap Delete Account. Confirmation is required.

  • Too many emails? See Notification Settings.
  • Just want a break? Mark your listings sold or set them inactive — no need to delete.
  • Account-specific concern? Contact support first; we can usually help.

Common questions

Can I get my account back after deletion?
No. Deletion is permanent. We anonymize your data within 30 days.
What happens to my listings if I delete my account?
Active listings are removed. Past sold listings are anonymized but kept for records.
